The 2025 season with the Coachella Valley Scorpions was unforgettable. From our pre-season event at Agua Caliente, receiving our gear and meeting each other for the first time, there was this spark — like we all knew we were stepping into something bigger than ourselves. The chemistry clicked right away. We bonded fast, on and off the court, and that connection was displayed in every match. Our energy was high, our confidence grew and we started creating real success. It wasn’t just about competing; it was about becoming a team in the truest sense. As the season rolled on, we didn’t just improve — we transformed. Every match, every practice, every road trip pulled us closer together, and by the time we reached Championship weekend in Seattle, we were playing like a unit with one heartbeat. Making it to the Finals was huge but closing it out was something else entirely. John Riedy and I stepped onto center court locked in, and when we secured the final win for the team, it was unreal. Standing there with the crowd around us — teammates, friends, peers — all cheering, all witnessing that moment; it became the absolute highlight of my pickleball career.
I started playing pickleball right before COVID with my tennis friends. Kris Anderson introduced me to the sport, and now my Wednesdays are spent playing pickleball instead of tennis. I still love playing tennis, pickleball has become a great activity for me and my family. I loved to play with my 85-year- old mom, Claudine who also loved playing pickleball. It's really fun for me to play with her two daughters, Natasha and Juliette and my weekend warrior husband, Gary. Even while traveling, the Hill family always brings their pickleball paddles along. I even taught a lesson to friends while on safari at the Sakkara Lodge in Tanzania!
