Who is your mentor: Most of the men I play against in Pickleball end up becoming my unsolicited mentors—eager to “man-splain” every missed shot by breaking down exactly what I did wrong, whether I asked or not.

How I got into pickleball: I got into Pickleball during Covid because trying to box with a face mask was a sweaty, suffocating mess, and I needed a challenging outlet that didn’t require gasping for air between punches.

College sports: Tennis

Famous person you want to play pickleball against: If I could play Pickleball with anyone famous, it would hands-down be James Blake because he is sexy, smooth, and honestly, everything my tennis-loving heart dreamed of back in the day.

Pickleball accomplishments: PPA Veolia LA Open 4.5 Mix Doubles with Albert Galazara. I may not have taken home the gold (silver…or bronze medals), but we did walk away with some sore muscles, great memories, and a burning desire for a rematch with destiny (which I was soon later able to do by taking home the gold, winning both the Coronado Spring Swings and the Bobby Riggs ladies 4.5 doubles tournaments, proving that all it takes is the right paddle and a good pair of tube socks to win).

What are you looking forward to most: I am looking forward to reliving my childhood dream of being a pro athlete, surrounded by teammates to uplift and inspire me, sharing in the camaraderie, the thrill of competition, and the joy of visiting new cities along the way.
